Artist Impressions
The artist’s impressions of the proposed Energy Park, as viewed from Red Bridge on Eyes Lane, have been produced as follows.
The photomontages for the Asland Walks Energy Park have been created as artist’s impressions to provide an indication of the visual impact on the surrounding landscape. The process used to create these visuals involves photographing each view location and recording the corresponding Ordnance Survey coordinates (for Red Bridge: E346518, N418840) and the camera height, which was 1600 mm above ground level.
This information is then matched within a 3D topographical survey. The wind turbine has been fully 3D modelled to the proposed height of 130 m to the hub, in line with the manufacturer’s technical drawings, and positioned accurately within the 3D topographical survey according to the approved location plan (E346074, N419422).
The photomontage view is then aligned using specialist modelling software to produce an accurate representation of what would be visible on site. The presence of an existing lidar building on the site, together with the church spire in the background of the photograph, has been cross-referenced to validate the accuracy of the artist’s impression.
